Ellbee Window Spares
Yep watched quite a few of those ellbee window spares, scary stuff. As far as towing the van in the snow I would avoid it at all cost's and would only do it if it was to come home and I had to.
No matter how good you are or your tow car is you cannot stop some other clown sliding into you and wrecking the van. Having experienced the snows first hand that left people stuck all night in their cars around the M11/M25 area a few years back I avoid driving anything in the snow if I can now. seitz windows sparesI have towed in the snow quite a few times in the past with no problems apart from seitz windows spares froze up as the towcar was rear wheel drive and the extra weight on the back wheels helped with the grip.
I don't have a problem with towing in the snow providing the road is flat , but if there are any hills I do worry if I have to stop the caravan will pull us back and start sliding. I have to be honest and say if it's snowing I stay firmly where I am. Remis Rooflight SparesHad no choice last January in the blizzards blowing my roof light open left me needing remis rooflight spares. Set off from here in a rather concerned condition, and the elements didn't disappoint. The snow over the motorway down as far as Gretna was awful.
Thought about turning back, but just held our nerve till we cleared the blizzard. Keep your speed to what your confident with and don't panic, making sudden manouvers etc. We made it. Stopped at Southwaite to regroup and have our usual cooked breakfast in the van. That made all the difference. Prima Caravan PartsYou can be doing oh so well with prima caravan parts then someone ahead will be revving the nuts of their car and going nowhere blocking the road.
Ice Truckers on our T V at present. Very good program but hell its not for me. I spent two years driving through our mountain range every week snow ice etc. But I had a road under my rig. so no need to be prepared for a cold swim. Had my trailer slide a little a few times. bradcot awning sparesThe ice truckers programme was brill loved watching that was pretty scary though. I've been reading this thread with concerned interest as I saw pics of the m6 near the lakes today and it made me a bit jittery about towing the van up there to Edinburgh come 30th December morn.
Lets hope for mild weather or else it will take me ages crawling along the motorway to get there I have never fitted the anti snake bar on the van either (its still stored in the van with the bradcot awning spares) as its always towed spot on without. I'm thinking it would be best to get it on with the weather as cold as it is already. bailey ranger sparesI really hope we don't have go looking for bailey ranger spares in the snow at New Year. I don't look forward to having to tow in it. I have been looking at loads of caravans because we want to swap as soon as the prices start dropping a bit.
But we cant make up our minds on what layout is best , so why did you choose the caravan you have. Layout, build quality, weight and then price. Rear kitchen with all fold away beds and a reasonable washroom, a family 4 berth with versatility. We Aim to Keep You on The Road heki rooflight sparesFixed bed that I can sleep in (6'2"), but will fit on our drive (just) at 6.7M. Also like interior and heki rooflight spares (but as it's our 2nd lunar - maybe we're just used to their style) Like the three burner hob - can get a wok on on it.
I always have wanted a Carlight, but could never afford to buy one until 23rd July 2006 we were involved in an accident in which we lost our Eccles Moonstone. Knowing we had to get another caravan quick, we went on the 24th July 2006 to Swindon Caravans. |
